Mother / Daughter Program

Q: Who is eligible for this program?
A: A mother and her daughter(s) - providing they fit within the age ranges we serve. *This program has the ability to go multigenerational so long as all are fit enough to work with the horses safely*

Q: What is this program?
A: This program works with mothers and daughters to aid communication during difficult years. We will focus on communication between each other and the horses while learning a new skill together. At the end of the session we will sit down together and discuss what went well, what we can improve on and what we learned. If interest exists - this could easily become father\daughter, mother\son etc.

Q: When will this program be offered?
A: This program will last over a set period (i.e. 6 one night a week blocks) or as demanded.

Q: Where will this take place?
A: This program will take place onsite at HJC.

Q: Why will you offer this program?
A: We believe this to be an excellent opportunity for mothers and daughters to communicate with each other. Horses demand real communication and congruence - they are incapable of telling a lie or pretending to feel something they do not. The program is structured in such a way that both participants can learn from the other as well as the horse. After the session - we provide a mediated (unbiased) time to voice concerns and share successes. This is quality time to share with one another in a neutral stress-free environment.
